Earth Day Yard Blooms

For Earth Day, some yard blooms...

White azalea brightens up the path to the secret garden that I have been unable to enjoy

The cherry trees were less than spectacular this year

But the dogwoods, my favorite tree, are splendid!

Even though they tried, they couldn't kill my mini Japanese maple..she's resilient, just like me!

The pink and red azaleas have bloomed, still waiting on the coral ones.

Cherry Trees

The cherry trees are on their own time. The ugliness of man cannot stop the beauty of nature.

Cherry Trees in Roanoke

When I was searching for a house in Roanoke 17 years ago, these cherry trees called me to take a closer look at the humble ranch in Southwest County. I wasn't impressed with the shag carpeting, brown walls & psychedelic lighting inside the house, but the land surrounding it begged me to buy it. I did. Thank you cherry trees for bringing such beauty to this corner of the county...

Cherry Petals

As soon as the cherry trees blossomed fully the tornadic wind whipped up and blew most of the petals away...











All that's left is the pink carpet of petals...so soft between the toes.

Cherry Tree Blossoms

I hope today's weather doesn't wipe out all my cherry tree blossoms. I was waiting for the azaela bushes to bloom to photograph the front of the house. Hope I didn't wait too long. At least I got a couple of close-ups the other day...
