Nor ocean sunsets...
The days are getting shorter...
The frail flowers will stop pushing through the heavy concrete...
Fruit will fall and wither off the tree...
But the saddest part of the end of summer is the end of my favorite side dish -- my homegrown tomatoes and basil...
Sniff.
Stop! It's still summer..please say it's still summer. Until I close my swimming pool..it is still summer. I love your sunset and rise pictures. You are a fabulous photographer. Those tomatoes look good and the basil. I will miss mine as well.
ReplyDeleteNo, we can't let summmer go. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteWe have tomatoes still coming in, and your plate looks wonderful.
There is nothing as tasty as homegrown tomatoes. I did good this year by using pots intstead of soil. I kept the critters at bay. Next year I'll have to get larger pots though, especially for the basil. I have two or three tomatoes left to ripen then that's it. Meanwhile I have 100's of pears and no use for them. Even the critters don't want them!
ReplyDeleteI would love some of those pears and will give you homemade pear preserves in return :-)
ReplyDeleteSandra you are most welcome to them! Do you live near SW County? How many do you need?
ReplyDeleteI live off Brandon in Grandin Village approximately three miles from Lewis Gale (my employer). I'd like as many as you can spare...
ReplyDeleteSandra, send me your e-mail
